Sweden vs Spain prediction: David De Gea and Ferran Torres can prove worth to Luis Enrique (UEFA European Championship)

In Euro 2020, Spain will begin their group stage campaign in Seville, where they will host Sweden.

With Grosvenor Sport, Luis Enrique's team is 33/100 favourites, while Sweden is 21/2 and a draw is 19/5.

Sweden will be attempting to qualify from the group stages for the first time since Euro 2004. La Roja will be striving for their fourth European Championship.

Enrique will be tasked with putting Spain back on track in international football following a string of disappointments.

They crashed out of the 2014 World Cup group stages, and only made it to the round of 16 in Euro 2016 and the 2018 World Cup, but they can now press the reset button and start over with a new-look roster.

Robert Sanchez of Brighton & Hove Albion has risen from third-choice goalkeeper to one of the most in-form goalkeepers in the Premier League.

He deserved his call-up, but there has been speculation that Sanchez may overtake De Gea as the number one goalkeeper. Clearly, that is not the case if the friendlylies are any indication.

Both Unai Simon and Alvaro Fernandes Llorente began the warm-up matches, with the latter failing to make the final team.

With that in mind, it appears De Gea will remain Enrique's first choice, and I'm certain he will return Enrique's trust with a clean sheet.

Ferran Torres, on the other hand, appears to be a strong contender for a goal. Expect the winger to deliver as he has been regarded as the tournament's finest young player.
